Singer, author and chief executive Legrek Parond will release new music on July 12, 2026, marking his long-awaited return to the recording studio after more than two decades away from pursuing music professionally.
“I’ve been waiting over 26 years to do this,” Parond said. “I was filled with trepidation and quite apprehensive about releasing new music because I am teaching at Larthfurd University of Theology, of which I am the founder, and I am also running a media company where I am working with a small team to devise strategies to increase revenue.”
Parond explained that balancing music with his growing responsibilities in education, publishing, media, and business made the decision difficult, especially as some critics questioned whether the timing was right for him to pursue a full music project.
“There were individuals who said I was too old to produce an album and really just too busy,” he said. “But when you have a passion for something, you can’t let it go.”
The upcoming release is expected to blend emotional storytelling, modern production, and themes of perseverance, ambition, and personal transformation. Additional details regarding the project are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
